Our Food Packing Event is
April 2, 2022!!
We are hosting it at the
Kids Against Hunger Canada Warehouse
– 649 The Parkway, Unit 5.

We have the opportunity and challenge to package 50,112 highly nutritious meals for people struggling with hunger around the world and right here in our neighbourhood. This will be our 6th annual event toward our goal of packaging one million meals for people in need.
The goal of this event is to engage the people of Peterborough to make a difference in the lives of others. In order to do this, we will provide and volunteer to package One Million Meals using Kids Against Hunger Canada’s model of food packaging. We would like individuals from various social, religious, sport, scholastic, business and municipal groups to form teams who will engage in friendly competition to assemble as many meals as they can in a two hour period.
This will be a fun, enthusiastic and meaningful opportunity for the citizens of Peterborough to positively impact the lives of others! Won’t you join us for this excellent opportunity to make a major difference in the lives of others?
In order to manage paying for the food we will need everyone’s assistance required in raising the funds. To package 50,112 meals requires we raise $19,200.00
For 2022, meals will be sent to local food banks, the Canadian far north, Haiti and other countries overseas.

About the food
Kids Against Hunger Canada’s meals have been formulated by food scientists to provide a rich source of easily digestible protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins needed by a malnourished child’s body and mind. The food also accommodates to the broad diversity of ethnic tastes and cultural differences around the world.
Kids Against Hunger Canada’s meals offer all nine of the essential amino acids required for complete nutrition – something that can’t be said about other typical food relief sources such as rice or beans alone.
The beauty of the food formulation is its simplicity. It is made from four readily available, dry ingredients that are easy to package, keep for long periods, and require only boiling water to prepare. Despite the simplicity of the food’s content, it is a nutritionally complex and well balanced meal.
